… that, despite my ‘leaving‘, I do still write and if you are suffering withdrawal symptoms (imagine a wry smile with that), not only is there my other blogging site (something coming there soon) but this has just been published on Visual Verse: An Anthology of Art and Words, which publishes a visual prompt and invites submissions of between 50-500 words written within one hour.

I shall pop back with any further news, as and when there is any.
Bye for now!
Wow! Well worth a visit. You had me going there. π Congrats on the publication!

Thanks! It happened just after a rather bad few days on social media and in real life – rude people in both – so depressing – so it was good timing for a little lift. x

Thanks for the link….I enjoyed that silent dialogue.

Ah, I wondered if someone might do that – it is all the man in uniform thinking, I realised after I saw how they split it that it could be misread. One of the penalties of having an hour to complete a piece and no time to review it. But glad you liked it anyway!

I’d never pass Eng Lit again, then! But yes, I did enjoy it.

(And by the way, despite the title of the anthology, they publish poetry and prose – it is definitely the latter! )

I really liked this. Congratulations. What an interesting exercise in so many ways, taking a real and [sadly] everyday scenario, reading the image, finding the words that might fill in the blanks of their unspoken communication.

Thanks Dale. As I’ve said to a few people it was all one voice actually, the way they split it on the pages made it look like two but I guess it still works that way!

Good to hear from you — and thank you (by the way, it’s prose not poetry as people seem to think – the title of the anthology is a little misleading!)

Thank you so much Rosemary! (And for being part of the reason I finally started getting on with submitting stuff.) Let me know how you are getting on with your novel…
